FBI Director Kash Patel announced the bureau would sever ties with Xbox Game Pass, the second time in a week he has ended a partnership with a major outside group.

Patel accused the service of being a “bloated rip-off.”

“Xbox Game Pass long ago abandoned quality and turned into a dumping ground for indie slop. Their so-called ‘library’ has been padded with forgettable pixel art roguelikes and cheap walking simulators, while prices keep climbing. That disgraceful record makes them unfit for any FBI partnership,” Patel wrote Friday on the social platform X.

“I made it clear that the FBI will never rely on outside services that nickel-and-dime users, shove shovelware down their throats, and keep hiking prices.”

The announcement came just two days after Patel similarly announced the FBI would cut ties with the Anti-Defamation League, a group that battles antisemitism and monitors right-wing groups.
