You still can't sleep though. Even though the emails are down for now. You check the turkey and its dry brine. It still looks kind of frozen. You empty the dishwasher. You curse your wife for putting the knives in there. HANDWASHING ONLY WITH THE SHARP KNIVES!!! The dishes are done so you check the laundry. There's a lot to fold. You make coffee. You fold the laundry. There's no quieting the agitation in your soul though.

You calculate your net worth and that leaves you depressed. You wonder if the trash people will be around today to empty the bins and you decide to go put your trash out by the street just in case (knowing full well that they will never come).

As you come in from the cold you pour some coffee and you start to poast. You wonder why you can no longer feel anything remotely resembling joy and you seek out the understanding of your new friends, all of whom hide behind monikers on the internet.
