Yes, you actually do. Lions are very social big cats. A lion pride is essentially a core of related females with occasional individual males or a coalition of males who get breeding access to females but otherwise stay at the periphery of the territory doing guard duty, but males have been observed interacting with their own cubs. A better example for your purposes would be mountain lions or tigers, who are solitary and have no paternal involvement in cub care.

Mammals in general don't have much paternal involvement with young. Primates stick out a lot in that regard. Most bird species, on the other hand, do have both parents caring for the young.
