The R1S is actually designed for car camping. You either get an RTT or just fold down the seats and put a mattress in the back. It has an auto leveling feature if you are trying to camp somewhere with an incline, which would be amazing. And I believe Rivian is designing an RTT that includes electric heat and a tablet built into the wall that can be used as a TV, although I'm not sure when or if that will be available for sale.

If all you care about is comfort, some sort of RV is still a better option. But then you are restricted to basically paved roads and established campgrounds. With an EV, you can drive on a dirt road into the middle of the wilderness and then camp out under the stars with heat and/or air conditioning. It's really 180 if you are into that sort of thing.
