But aside from that, people got together and shared offensive jokes, political opinions, and a bunch of other shit that both desensitized them and developed their depth. We made shit up that was fun and often for guys risked getting minor to moderate injuries. Those injuries taught us risk/reward, desensitized us to pain and loss, and helped us make better decisions
And we know that doing active things wasn't just invented flame, because we weren't all a bunch of fat pieces of shit back then |
