And Mexicans are, you know, from Mexico. I would also exclude French colonies from Hispanic along with Brazil. It’s less clear for English colonies like Jamaica. Latin yes, not clear to me if Hispanic or not. I have also heard people from Spain say they are Hispanic which, I suppose, would extend to other Hispanic aka Spanish former colonies, but I have never heard anyone from for example the Philippines say they are Hispanic. .
There is a lot of England, Britain, Great Britain, United Kingdom built into this.
Finally, the various racial classifications in Mexico historically are truly fascinating.
