im rooting for you whoever the fuck you are. autism is complete flame btw. its just a way to backhand young males who are looking at their dads thinking "why is this guy such a dumb fag" itll be fine as long as the kid comes out physically healthy and you raise him properly.

Had Number 3 at 40. Number 1 and 2 were 10 and 8 at the time.

I did have some concerns but it's been fine as long as you don't get pawned by autism. Having kids late in life does help keep you feeling younger. In terms of stamina, while 40 isn't 30, it also wasn't notably different and I didn't feel body aging till, well, this year (45) and thankfully Number 3 came along at 40 rather than 45.

There's truth to it. What happens, at least to me and most men I know, is that you notice the body slowing down in ways you didn't before. The ability to keep an active physical stamina going for a prolonged period is starting to fade away.

I still play tennis and swim and golf and keep active but you notice you need that much more energy and feel the required recovery time afterwards more than before. My oldest is 15 and when we play tennis I still beat him but can see the day is coming soon when he'll be beating me, but more relevant is that after a vigorous match I need to sit back and recover with some water and relax a bit but he can gulp down a bottle and bounce right back and go for a run or whatever - and it feels completely normal to him. I remember being able to do that in a way that is unconscious to you when you're younger but not any more when you're older.

Yes, I think so. Genetically fortunate in this area. But do monitor diet and make sure I remain physically active. Both is easy for me. However, no matter what you do, at age 50 you will not have the stamina of a 30 y/o.

Seeing it as a problem to fear is a mistake. I'm pragmatic that I'm getting older and adjusting to it is fine. I can still have another 45+ years. Absent cancer or degenerative diseases that can strike random people, I don't see why I can't be playing tennis or golf in my 70s and going for hikes. My modus operandi is focused on making sure I can still do it but I'm not worried that I won't be able to hike for as long as a youth can do or play with the same vigor I can today. Keep yourself healthy, fit and trim and don't try to keep up with the jocks and be aware your body will need more recovery time as you age, and you should be fine.

180 bro! But you’re too old and have too many responsibilities now to navigate the sleep deprivation of the first few weeks. Spring for the night nurse and save the grandparent support for daytime.
