i do enjoy that jews allow the rabbis to weigh in on seemingly secular matters like architecture and urban planning. christian priests today don't have that kind of all encompassing approach, at least not outside of europe, but it's generally important in an older, more genteel sense, to have learned men available for advisory on secular projects
