Yogykarta is like a $150 round trip from Singapore. It's insanely cheap too. I stayed at the Hyatt, which was like $100 a night, but the service and grounds were great, very good and cheap restaurants and bar too.
The volcano hike is a bitch (you hike up like 4 miles almost straight up the side of an active volcano at 1am to catch the sunrise, a lot of Euro stoner tourist bros can't physically make it), but one of the coolest things i've ever seen. Temples were cool, the entire region seemed exotic.
Indonesia in general has a lot of cool places to check out, Bali is cool, but so many other interesting things there.

shit man, do not stay in Singapore more than like 2-3 days. Not much to see. It's all new rootless cosmo bullshit.
Go there, hit Indonesia for 2-3 days (I liked Yogakarta a lot and recommend it, but there are lots of cool places to see in Indonesia otherwise). Back to Singapore, catch a flight to Siem Reap Cambodia for 2 full days to see Angkor Wat and surrounding temples (which are pretty damn amazing and town is insanely cheap), then fly to Thailand (Bangkok and/or Phuket) and chill
Mind you, a lot of one way flights around SE Asia are like $60

Night market food was good. The Shangri-La is nice and the pool has a good view of the park.
Short day trip to Malacca and a good jumping off point for Penang.
I'd go back if I went to Penang.
