The machines are CONSTANTLY going on the fritz and breaking down, and no chips are getting made during this time. An hour of down time can cost the company millions in revenue.

Under these circumstances, you can't just order a new part from the Netherlands to be delivered overnight. The only viable solution is to keep spare parts right there at the facility, right next to the machine that broke down.

But that's impossible to do with machinery this complex, because you have no way of predicting what's going to break, so you don't know what spare parts to have on hand. The only TRULY viable solution is to buy a bunch more of the same lithography machines and raid them for parts as needed. It's sick
