Want to Lease a Cadillac IQ.

https://www.caranddriver.com/cadillac/escalade-iq-2026

I don't want to finance $130k for a car that is BARELY gonna be worth $100 in a couple of years.

Thoughts on Leasing?

Get an extremely shiny one with a V8. It’ll hold its value just from having a V8 imo

Why do enormous electric cars exist? Seems ghastly. If you’re going to try to save the earth you should waste less space/resources imo

Can you plug in your car and ass dildo at the same time? Can the electric service att your trailer home handle that?

you're going to be taking roadtrips with 2 kids and a wife in a car that will at most go 400 miles before needing a shit ton of charging? Just rent a fucking van man

if you want a new car that depreciates massively, you need to pepper your angus. it's gonna hurt. doesn't matter if you lease or buy, you will be owning that depreciation. if you want to avoid this problem, find a similar car that is a few years old, or something different entirely

edit: leases are generally priced at the number that the new car loses to depreciation, plus interest, taxes and fees.

I was at a Cadillac dealer and I asked the salesman what’s the most expensive car you’ve sold and he said an Escalade to a UN Ambassador from a middle eastern country. Does that seem like the kind of cash you have?

There's one in my garage now. I don't like Escalades/American cars generally but it looks 180. The interior is close to German level of finish and it is super fast but oddly silent. That motherfucker weighs 9,100 pounds though, so I don't know why on earth they would put it on 24s with low profile tires. I can't imagine those lasting more than 20K miles and they will be $2400 per set to replace. (They are 275/50R24, lol.)

I'm not saying it's a lot, just annoying for a daily driver.

BTW those are like 50% more than the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S's on my 911.

that's fair, my brother. it's an expensive car and i guess it's common for automakers these days to prioritize looks over comfort wrt wheel size. how old is your 911 - did you buy it new? great cars. on bigger vehicles like a cayenne i think the tires are more than 911s
