PS now that Voyager 1 has spent over a decade traversing an enormous wall of plasma that engulfs our solar system, why would you think you can measure faint traces of 14 billion year-old radiation through it?
If you couldn't measure the plasma how could you control for it?
How many Nobel prizes will get cancelled if it turns out people in the 1990s were only measuring the heliosphere?

They're doing lots of stuff that's above my head.
They have some stuff that's relatable to laypeople, like https://home.cern/news/news/physics/first-observation-single-top-quark-production-w-and-z-bosons but most stuff is measurement-related.
They really need to release a follow-up to the CERN rap to get people interested again.
