American dentist & engineer wife tortured, imprisoned for shoplifting in Singapo

The pair, Kapadia Husain Zoher, 35, and Kapadia Amatullah, 30, were arrested on June 23 after stealing from designer shops at Changi Airport.
Authorities said the couple, who are both US nationals, stole more than $750 of upmarket items from Louis Vuitton and Dior at the airport before trying to board their jet.
They made it all the way to their seats on a flight set for Mumbai before airport police hauled them away.
They can stay there forever, thank. |

I'm eligible for three (getting my EU/French one now) but wouldn't consider myself a dual-national until I had that document. If you can't walk into a consulate and get a passport, you're clearly not a citizen, more like a permanent resident or green card-level. Dual national = when you travel to one of your countries, you don't have to wait in the foreigner line. I can't take my initial French docs which establish that I'm a citizen (my foreign born registration certificate and blue "family book") up to the counter for French nationals when landing in Paris.
