it's always the same shit - yacht, jet YAWN.
why not build a life size AT-AT walker or Hotwheels track or have your people go in the hood and pay every black 10k to sterilize themselves on the spot.

Zuckerberg TRIED to do this but he's so boring and uncreative. He bought an island in Hawaii and raised someone type of rare wagyu cattle. He also wore a shitty gold chain a bunch of times to try and look cool.
I think at the end of the day these people are just really unimaginative. And the other thing is they only care about impressing each other. If one guy has a yacht the other guy has to get one too. So there's a uniformity to their lifestyle.
But yeah ultimately they're really unimaginative. Their brains can only think about business shit. They are also deeply obsessed with money, way more than any normal person can imagine. Any normal bloke who hit a billion NW would stop and spend the rest of their lives enjoying what they had like RSF.
Actual billionaires aren't wired than way. They can't sleep at night thinking about how someone else has more money than them. No one becomes a centibillionaire by accident. They covet wealth more than anyone you have ever met and are deeply insecure about how much money they have relative to the other richest people in the world. It sounds crazy but if you had met any, you'd know. They care about money to a degree that no normal person can conceptualize. Billionaires covet wealth more than Tom Brady covets earning Super Bowl rings. So of course a guy like that who views money as points on a scoreboard isn't prone to a bunch of folly with their dimes. If they were dreamers they would have done things dreamers do, but they're not. They're deeply insecure money obsessed sociopathic business men who are mortally locked into caring about making more money and impressing the 5 other people who are as rich as them.

Great job, it's pretty much this--especially the second paragraph
If Elon actually gets to Mars or spends serious effort and money trying, he'll deserve respect for at least trying
Same with the dude who was going to fund part of the starshot project (unless he pulled out or only wants to put a tiny amount in)
It's kind of shocking no one even tried to build any kind of notable underwater compound. Not even cults. Would be worth a billion or two to do that just to bring fiction to life
