I get the vibe that a lot of people doing this are just happy they can openly troll people. I do not at all feel that the trollers are standing up for the integrity of relationships. It turned from them doing something icky and being called out to many many people behaving icky.
When I was a kid and we'd read those old school classics that had stories of people getting "tarred and feathered", I used to think they were so primitive. But I feel like the whole social media "pile-on" culture is the same vibe.
Somehow, I'm not getting any Pinchas vibes over there. |
