A few weeks later, covid hit, and at the time everyone was freaking out, store shelves were empty, etc, I told her it was all bullshit and covid was just the flu and not a real threat (my theory, which turned out to be correct, was death rates massively overstated by failure to account for massive asymptomatic pop -- just about everyone would eventually get it so quarantines were pointless). Then of course, I told her to avoid the vax like the plague, and that its long-term tail risks outweighed any benefit it would provide. And people started keeling over from heart attacks.
