At-fault driver's insurance paid out its max, and now we're pursuing an UIM claim with my own insurance. My original lawyer had decades of experience and would've probably had a good idea of how long this would take, but he left the firm in the middle of the case, and I was assigned some late-Millennial/early-zoomer lawyer (lmao) who's inexperienced and at least 10 years younger than me.

My new shitlawyer couldn't give an exact timeline of how long the rest of the UIM claim will take. Can any of the PI shitlaw kings here give me an idea of how much longer this will take? Here's where we are: Last week I gave a sworn statement to the opposing shitlawyer describing my injuries. My zoomer lawyer said the next steps are negotiating the payout for the UIM claim, or, if that doesn't work, it'll have to go to an arbitration panel.

I'm hoping this shit will end soon and would like to get at least a rough timeline. I'm in IL. Thank.
