It’s kind of amazing. I’ve eaten only 10 times all month. I haven’t missed it at all. I have actually cut out more than 90% of my eating and I notice next to nothing in terms of impacts on my day-to-day life or how I feel. I actually feel a lot better than I did a month ago. I wonder if I have lost any weight since my 10th meal. I guess I will check in the morning. As for an 11th meal, I think I might as just wait for February. This will also give my soup a couple more days in the refrigerator to soak up the remaining bay leaves that are still in there. |

I went to Marmalade Cafe for brunch yesterday after I got CPR certified. It was a great brunch. A few hours later, a car got shop up right in front of the restaurant. I also saw a homeless woman in Calabasas. The end times are nigh. |

We had a discussion recently on whether boxing was haram. Islam says fighting and striking of the face is improper. Mo indicates it’s degrees of what is wrong and that liking boxing may be something frowned upon, but it is a vice that he does not believe is very serious.
We have also discussed alcohol and gambling, which the Koran does a very balanced take on. Islam states that alcohol and gambling have benefits, but that the negatives outweigh the benefits and therefore you should not drink or gamble. |
