Then internet Asians realized this. Behind a screen there is no “race.” Asian males realized there is ZERO chance of ever dating. So instead of blaming it on race, they blamed it on their height. So they memed that height was the reason. It was so pushed that the WHOLE WORLD associated short with bad.
Now a short handsome white guy is in the same boat as a never touched Asian male.
It’s probably the most successful social campaign in history. Every Instagram story, every SNL skit. All about height.

Then it’s constant Reddit posting and then Instagram now it’s mainstream. You used to be able to be a handsome shortmo and still land some 5’0 cutie who “I don’t care about height! I’m 5’0! Who am I to comment?”
Now that same 5’0 chick will say “that guy is 5’9, he’s hot, he still has me by 9 inches but I’m terrified what my friends will think that I’m not dating a 6’5 plain boyfriend!” So the 5’9 guy walks up to her and says “btw you’re pretty” and she ignores him knowing she can open up her Instagram and have 6’5 chads who will use her as a sleeve for a night then she can openly brag to her friends that she “landed a 6’5 chad.”
