EU sales are good because of "FIFA" somehow even though that game comes out every single year. Sony does well at globalization and it lets them run up the score. Like MSFT wouldn't know where the hell to start selling consoles in Indonesia but Sony has been selling hardware there since 1977.
PS5 sales are pretty damn close to Switch 2 sales. No one can explain it. Sony just excels at Engineering and marketing and all the rest. All independent of game dev.
Meanwhile no one is buying Xbox. PS5 sales are good in US. I honestly think that extremely stupid idiots are getting PS5s *specifically* because they don't want to lose the gen and can’t just wait for PS6 or get a PC. They want their "library" for next gen to have a PS5 backlog. how else can you explain it? |

The best thing about SNES is that you knew what games were good. Same for N64. With Genesis (or PS2, or most of what's come out since), you need a Curator. with SNES you basically have JRPGS, DKC2, Mega Man X, Mario Kart, Nintendo stuff and you can't really go wrong. With Genesis you might end up in the X-men or Earthworm Jim ghetto. Mortal Kombat just FIT so well with Genesis bc idk the controller is black instead of the clinical gray of SNES, and the music is Scummy. A match made in heaven. |
