So 50% of the first $100B will go to US defense contractors, and the second $100B will be invested in Trump coins and other valuable assets to "strengthen relations and increase common interests." |

I still don't think it will happen though. Neither the US or EU have legal mechanisms for treating these funds as state assets. They can freeze the funds but they cannot take ownership without Russia's consent.
In theory you'd think they could just pass new laws that make it legal to seize these funds, but I invite you to look at any of the draft legislation that's been put forth in Congress. A lot of members of Congress have sponsored legislation to this effect, but you only have to glance at it to realize it's doo doo. |
