I watched the full ~2 hour interview today between Tucker Carlson and Blake Neff, along with a third guy Andrew Kolvet, on Charlie Kirk’s show. I could do a post about this, but my backlog is too big and it’s not really worth it. The reason why the interview is interesting is that Neff was Carlson’s head writer who was fired by Fox after Neff’s posting on an online forum, Autoadmit, was revealed by a CNN reporter, Oliver Darcy, in the lead-up to the 2020 election, as a way of undermining Carlson and hence Trump. Not much publicly has been said about how exactly it went down, but Neff eventually found his footing when Charlie Kirk, to his credit, hired him despite the ongoing storm around Neff, and even then put him on air - both of which took personal integrity and courage. I’ll share my thoughts on this, as well key moments of the interview below.
- I don't like Kolvet much - he’s leaning into a persona, it feels not fully genuine - and the tone is way too much of a hagiography to turn Kirk into a Christ figure, its kind of gross.
- The old guy with the white hair (Frank Turek) who says Christianity is egalitarian and other religions are not - then he names Hinduism and Islam only, uh huh… He was the guy who tipped his hat shortly before the shooting, they touch on that point which is necessary to tamp down on the conspiracy surrounding him. Then Turek rants about the founding fathers intent and how God is all good...sigh, this boomer…
- I’m glad to have heard their conversation pertaining to Neff’s firing, but I don't fully believe it. Tucker blamed Fox entirely for the firing and he refused to publicly denounce Neff like they requested of him -- fine, I believe that, but my understanding is that Neff had a lot of anger against Tucker in the aftermath for not standing up for him more. Tucker didn't say anything public about it, he kept his head down. So a lot here got swept under the rug.
- It appears like Neff and Kolvet might try to carry the show forward, we will see what happens.
- Tucker is leaning heavily into the traditional Christian notion of the privatio boni theory of good versus evil -- personally, i think this is on the way out, and we will come to see God as the combination of all good and all evil in this coming aeon, which is a horrifying concept... the Christian lineage of society will continue, but much more in a gnostic sense where it is not just Christ crucified but all of us, crucified between the endless opposite energies of life…
- I'm glad Tucker touched on how his views have evolved a lot over the years, and there is nothing wrong with that. He used to be a neocon and in favor of the Iraq war, he says (I think of his decades-old horrible CIA-sponsored op-ed smearing Gary Webb over Webb's amazing investigative journalism). I agree with Tucker that we are all evolving as people and there's nothing wrong with that.
- Tucker emphasized too much how one has to treat waitstaff as equal to household/club members too much, one should treat them respectfully but to harp over and over that everyone is exactly the same is too much virtue signaling.
- They talk about the online conspiracy theories, one was about the guy grabbing the SD cards out of the video camera to give to the FBI which they discuss (although the FBI will just bury it). Glad they discussed this.
- Tucker is backhand-insulting Ericka Kirk, I think, in the false form of a compliment. He calls her extremely passionate and opinionated in her views, she won't back down -- this is an underhanded insult about closed mindedness. Then Kolvet compares her to Andrew Breitbart because he died in 2012, inspiring Charlie Kirk, while Ericka won a beauty competition that year (lmao)...what?
- A lot of hoorah cheerleading of J.D. Vance, who I don’t like and who I think is a Thiel-backed technocrat puppet.

Literally everything you said is an irrelevant ad hom
Legit bc my sense is he knows being controlled by Israel and corporations is wrong and I trust he will try to pull us out of that morass. Reading his old writings it’s clear he’s intelligent and not a thoughtless asshole
