surprisingly good if you any of these apply:
1) you didn't take it seriously
2) you like golf and watch it
3) you have some nostalgia over the original and remember it decently

4/10 for me, Sandler was just doing fan service and going through the motions with a million cameos. Didn’t think it was funny . Not terrible though
My favorite part was shooter mcgavin going crazy and redemption arc

you didn't find any of it funny?
some good moments:
1) shooter mcgavin reading The Shining: "this guy's losing it"
2) the jack nicklaus scene with the arnold palmer drink order
3) we don't say alcoholic, we're not scientists
4) all the shit with scottie scheffler
5) john daly was pretty damn funny too

Tried to watch it. Got bored after 15 minutes, turned it off.
I did recently rewatch the original, which I still love. I'll probably try 2 again.

I was worried that it was going to be so bad that it would ruin the first one for me (I even posted a thread about this that got a modest number of replies).
It wasn't as bad as that.
It made me laugh a bunch of times and I had a good time watching it. I doubt I will ever watch it again, while I will re-watch Happy Gilmore many more times.

I liked it for what it was.
Trying to imagine Jack Nicklaus watching it makes me lol.

Yeah it's great. I watched it 3 times in a row, immediately after watching HG1 which I hated

I thought it was solid. Too many clips from the old movie. That was a bit much. The maxi competition on the last quarter of the movie was too silly and over the top. Otherwise great. Loved the golf cameos.
I really liked how they shifted the villains from waspy elitist golfers to tech bro jerkoffs trying to destroy tradition. At one point happy says “I cant believe I’m the one defending tradition”. I think a lot of older millennials and gen x’ers feel that way. It captured the zeitgeist well.
