haven't looked at the latest models but i would go sony or samsung over LG. those use QD-oled panels with better color and it's hard to go back to LG colors after seeing them. LG has some MLA tech that might give it better brightness, but the QD-oled picture is more "solid."
between sony and samsung, if you don't mind spending more and will watch a lot of movies on it, I'd go for sony. if it's more for gaming or you want to save money, the samsungs are perfectly fine. the only thing is that you need to make sure whatever specific model you get has QD-oled. the year i bought my TV, the 77 inch was a QD-oled and the 83 inch of the EXACT SAME MODEL was the old style panel.
sizing - if you will be within 10 feet, 77 is plenty big. if you have a couch spread out all the way on the other side of the living room, i'd go larger

we're getting a renovation and doubling the size of our living room. we will be sitting around 10-12 ft from the TV now. currently we're maybe 5-6 feet away. we have a 65 inch and while it's big enough, i sometimes wish it were a bit bigger.
what size is cr here? and what kind of screen is best? ty
