Doesn’t groom the next generation (Drinkwater etc. were clowns but basically no different than his crew was when they were starting out). Promotes his incompetent addict nephew. Removes his best earner over a relatively minor infraction (Ralph). Can’t get along with the NY crew, jeopardizes everything. He deserved to get got in the last scene and I hope he was.
