Also, is total real-coin value that high now? I guess it’s no wonder it’s gotten jammed into so many treasury companies and ETFs and whatnot.

why would an established megacorp run a ponzi scheme scam lol (that's what shitcoins are, literal ponzi scheme scams, every single one of them). they're already insanely profitable
like the above poaster said, meta tried to make their own legit currency and the world's governments shut them down
a lot of companies do kind of run their own internal shitcoins. for example, airlines do miles programs, other companies do various kinds of rewards, etc. they're basically minting their own fake currency and handing it out to customers to incentivize customer spending on their products
