I don't need to see someone to know 95% of the time. I just need 2 of the following: name, job, college, hometown, phone number (often the area code is enough), current address, father's occupation, or grandparents' first names. I'm probably 100% for Ashkenazi with visual confirmation, but Sephardics are a little bit harder because the last names can be from Romance languages or sound Arab.
