There’s an ongoing debate about whether or not Rudolf Schenker of Scorpions used a Fender Stratocaster on this track:

The controversy stems from the fact that the guitar Schenker is most closely associated with is the Gibson Flying V, and he’s never been known to play a Strat, but the arpeggiated rhythm and hammer-ons played throughout the verses sounds exactly like a Strat. Apparently no official record exists.
I’m firmly in the Strat camp. I know the sound of a Strat when I hear one, and that’s a Strat.

It could easily be an Ibanez or similar Strat-derivative metal guitar.
Not a Flying V or any Gibson though, no way.
