How come Latin America never has serious wars?

but post ww2 and esp post 1980 they settled down
become US colony during cold war, geography isnt conducive to wars, like there's huge mountains, amazon, distances between countries
they had more intl orgs like OAS or whatever beaners have thats like their EU
