The Beaner Robbins hosts a "Level One" workshop in NY. Day 1 is 9am to 1am, day 2 the same, day 3 9am to 9pm.
You listen to talks and break into small groups, etc. Very crazy shit, like everyone "agrees" that if a group member is late to the session, everyone pays five dollars. No bathroom breaks, no snacks.
I guess you could fuck off, but tremendous peer pressure and sunk costs to follow these "rules".
At the end of day 3, in total exhaustion, they pitch "Level 2", which must be paid for in full on the spot. 1500 bucks. No contract, no papers, just Zelle them the money.
There are like 5 levels. I pressed her on what she gains. She said it teaches her to be "joyful". I pressed and she said, "they give you the tools".
She could not name a tool.
One of the things they do is share an exclusive playlist for your phone, featuring "Simply the Best" by Tina Turner.
She must be 10k into this shit by now.
