If you had a common big pickup (Ford F-150), with fake novelty plates for your kills, ran over an unlucky pedestrian on an off-street, took a circuitous route home, cleaned the truck within your own garage, then switched to a regular car for your normal driving, you could probably do this for a while. Bump off a few pedestrians a week without a geographic pattern and the cops won't even realize what's happening. Bonus points if they're vagrants that the cops won't look that hard into. Shit, you could probably make a career of this and only "retire" when you're so old you're in a nursing home and they take your F-150 keys away.
