“I’ll offer you my lowest rate from last year: $375 per hour. To move forward, I’ll need a retainer covering 10 hours—this accounts for prep time and a full day of mediation. Any unused portion of the retainer will be refunded. You’re welcome to pay by credit card.

Since I wasn’t involved in the case from the start, I’m not taking a percentage of any settlement for the mediation itself—this portion will be billed hourly only.

If we continue negotiations after the mediation, my fee would shift to 33% of any amount above the current offer, to reflect the value added. Any hourly payments made beyond the retainer will be credited toward that 33%.

I’m a white guy

My employer pays females with the same level of experience doing the same job more. They lost an EEOC case against female employees 20 years ago so now they overcompensate to the point of discriminating against white men. When female employees complain about their salary and sexism or racism, the employer automatically gives them a raise and has them sign an NDA. When I complained , they told me I have no merit to my claims. I’m taking advantage of the Trump vibe shift.
