I dont know if there are wikipedia "answers" on this issue, but I figure Bart is a ~1980 baby, so a late Xer.

Starting there, Homer would be ~1950, Marge maybe a little younger.

They ought to be Boomers, and I seem to remember flashbacks to Homer and Marge in their hippie youth... but neither has any cultural baggage associated with Boomers. They are kind of Silent Gen people born amid the boomers.

Lisa is a Gen-X / Millennial straddler

they were never consistent with chronolgy, there was a alter episode where Homer was a GenXer in college in a band called 'Sadgasm'.

They're nearly completely consistent, in that the rule is that the characters always stay about the same age, so their birth years and backstories are perpetually moved forward to the production year of current episode. Homer has only "aged" from 34 to 40, but his birthday is always 35-40ish years ago. The only exception to this rule is Grandpa Simpson; no matter how little sense it now makes, the story is still that he fought in WW2 ljl

Depends on the particular season of simpsons. In recent seasons, bart and lisa act very much like zoomers
