He got legitimately completely rhetorically raped by Tucker. I'm not being unfair because of personal bias. Watch the interview yourself if you don't believe me. No one can think that he did not get completely blown out and humiliated
I have no idea why on earth he voluntarily agreed to go on Tucker's show to get his reputation destroyed, but I'm guessing it has been like two decades since he has been in a situation where he had to think on his feet in real time. Nobody performs this poorly in a rhetorical exchange unless they have no experience at it or they're legitimately stupid or both

the strange thing is that in college debate circles Cruz was a god. the MJ or LeBron of his era. given that your observation is correct i have to wonder if foreign ideas have colonized Cruz's brain and therefore he cannot debate the points without looking like an idiot.

The argument for the "war" is extremely simple. "Iran is a military ally of Russia and China, who are our greatest geopolitical enemies, so we should blow them out now with this convenient excuse of helping Israel"
I don't agree with this argument but it's a reasonable and simple one that any American citizen can understand. It's not a lie, either
Instead of this simple and effective argument, Cruz rambled about insane nonsense like "it says in The Bible that people who help Israel go to heaven, so we should destroy Iran so we can go to heaven." Actual retard tier. Imagine paying money to this guy to be your lawyer. Imagine voting for this guy to be your US Senator! Holy shit lmao

are you stupid?
do you think every harvard attorney is some debate genius who never loses?
i think tucker's questions were lame, but i agree cruz lost and lost pretty bad during that exchage.
so fucking what? is this the first time you've seen cruz in action? it must be. because the guy is extremely good at questioning and being on top of things. obviously, he's not perfect, haha.
it is reminiscent of shapiro getting mauled by the conservative british guy shapiro mistook as being liberal
nobody's perfect
cruz gets to feel like a democrat for a change.

Even if he did benefit from AA, what exactly is supposed to be inconsistent about opposing AA and having benefitted from AA?
He didn't choose to be born into an AA-eligible ethnic group. Why shouldn't he find the case against AA just as persuasive as anyone else finds it?
Suppose there was a law saying that anyone with a surname beginning with C is entitled to $1000 of free money from the government each year. Would it be wrong for Cruz to oppose this law since he'd have benefitted from it?

"Ted Cruz
@tedcruz
“Returning to the subject of Cruz’s faith, the Texas senator said that his support for Israel was also rooted in his Christian faith, citing the biblical phrase: “Those who bless Israel will be blessed and those who curse Israel will be cursed.” Carlson mocked the fact that Cruz’s faith informed his pro-Israel views, and asked specifically the biblical citation...
After Cruz acknowledged he didn’t know the exact verse, the podcast host then incorrectly answered his own question, mistakenly saying it was in Genesis. (The verse is from Numbers 24:9).” https://jewishinsider.com/2025/06/the-key-moments-from-the-testy-tucker-carlson-ted-cruz-showdown/?utm_source=cio
Whoa. So this is the power of a Harvard Legal Education.
