Jon market finally moved. It used to be that any doctor that a took a job was obligated to pay tail insurance. I.e. switch jobs in 5years, pay back about 200k$ cash. That went away 2 years ago. Then they also did not allow you to work for any other hospital(even in a different state) so that if you want to work extra you'd be forced to work internally at lower rates. That went away recently. Though just 1 year ago I was looking into 7on/21off and they said no you cannot work for anyone else during time off so I told them to suck it.
But just now another major hospital declared that they'll take anyone to work as many shifts as they like "per diem". But get full benefits if work 60shifts per year. So this is basically an ad for someone who wants to move to Vietnam and come back every 2-3months to work. I wonder if I should just go for that. The benefit of such job is not in working a 2nd job during time off but to actually take off to Vietnam or Russia.
