Just rewatched Land Before Time and Fox & The Hound with my Colombian G/F. (Still would fuk Us first)

I am not okay.

I thought I’d feel nostalgia.

I got a pre-trauma flashback to a version of childhood I fabricated in retrospect to cope with whatever this is now.

Littlefoot’s mom dies and they just "move on."

No lawsuits. No GoFundMe. No trauma debrief.

Just “The Great Valley awaits” — like it’s a 401(k).

Meanwhile, the sharp tooth is clearly a metaphor for every systems-level threat we pretend is external—poverty, male loneliness, climate, BigLaw.

By the time Cera body-shamed Littlefoot for crying, I was fully fetal.

Don’t even get me started on the leaf.

And Fox & The Hound?

That’s not a movie.

That’s a corporate training on friendship-to-enemy pipeline.

“Let’s be best friends.”

Cut to: government-mandated separation, shotgun chase, betrayal, resignation.

It’s literally just an HR memo in fur.

When Widow Tweed drops Tod off in the woods and says, “You’ll be safer here,”

I scream/cry/sob.

Because I’ve heard that line.

From my boss.

From my mom.

From the therapist I ghosted in Q3.

Anyway.

Going to stare at ceiling and wonder what kind of leaf would bring me back from this.

Everything is fine.

Everything is fine.

In land before time you know whatever valley they find is only going to be a temporary enclave from the ultimate doom. It's just a slower death. That bothered me even as a kid. It's like hey guys we know how this story really ends, the dinosaurs all die.

Well sort of but in land before time beyond the mysterious beyond they befriend a pair of omnivore Dinos (egg snatchers) and discover they’re actually from an alien planet beyond the mysterious beyond. It’s heavily implied they all end up there rather than dead in an asteroid impact.
