People keep mentioning Tales from the Crypt but that was really late 80s to early 90s and reruns were scarce. Back then you had to confine ‘’mature content” to weird late night time slots. Trying to catch Tales on HBO was like getting lucky and seeing MST3K on the Sci Fi Channel.

Now any old network can show awkward sex scenes and you can say fuck in Law and Order or whatever so HBO can’t survive on that alone.
