Qqqi pays most of its dividend as roc. 12-14% yield. That means I get tax free cash for about 6-8years but once cost basis reaches 0, roc can no longer be used and I'll be getting ordinary dividends, so i must sell shares for long term cap gains within 6-8years. That's fine in retirement, but suboptimal in accumulation phase, i.e. compared to qqq.

But now look at STRC. 9% qualified dividend. That's good compared to treasuries, but it sucks compared to Qqqi, since the yield is 12-14% and also long cap gains. The only difference that you need to hold it only 60days to qualify for long cap gains, but must hold qqqi at least 1 year.

Rate my plan to optimize. Hold strc. That 9% dividend is qualified and equivalent to 11.6% ordinary income. Need to hols UT 60days to qualify. Whenever there is actually a major drop I can sell it at once and buy qqq, etc. This is 3x better than holding sgov.

Boomers all have their funds in s&p. Buying it now is the same as buying a house in CA from a boomer. This is a 9% loan with tax structure of a qualified dividend.

lmao bro, this shit sounds just as bad as all the algorithmic interest-bearing stablecoins like Terra that eventually collapsed. hmmm, i wonder what will happen if everyone tries to sell their shares back at face value during "unfavorable times" article mentions-- times when microstrategy can't raise capital because BTC is in a massive downtrend and issuing debt or equity to buy more BTC is dilutive because the price just keeps dropping. Do you know what a "death spiral" is?

https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/strategys-stretch-strc-preferred-stock-hits-markets-at-90-pricing/ar-AA1JieDJ

STRC will accumulate dividends at a variable rate, and dividends will be payable when authorized by Strategy’s board. The initial monthly regular dividend will be at 9% annualized, but the rate may be adjusted at Strategy’s discretion.

STRC issuance will be variable, aiming to maintain a $100 peg. To achieve this, Strategy will adjust the dividend rate, issue more STRC at $101, recall shares, or turn off the sale program under $99. STRC will be one of the most responsive products for Strategy, immediately reflecting demand and market conditions.

The new instrument is issued as shares, but behaves like a passive income bond. During favorable times, Strategy can force a repurchase of STRC. During unfavorable BTC price periods, holders can sell back their shares at face value. The STRC dividend rate can be adjusted monthly, but by no more than 0.25% up or down.

...

STRC is not backed by the underlying BTC, which is reserved for only some of Strategy’s investors. Despite the instrument, Strategy’s approach works only if its market activities cause hype and more upside for BTC.

So I think qqqi can return 10%+ in perpetuity. So anybody that wants 500k in in retirement only needs to accumulate 5mil. Some of that portfolio should remain in qqq just to improve taxes and qqq has slightly higher yield longterm. But qqqi will still pay 500k in recession even if nav drops temporarily. If you held only qqq you would be forced to sell during a recession, which is why idiots use the 4% rule

You don't understand simple arithmetics. If there is a bear market qqqi nav drops 20% (i.e. instead of 30) and you have 10% from original nav to partially spend and partially put back into qqq or tqqq at the best time. You might then have lower total dividend for some time. But bear markets always recover. It doesn't have a time decay like tqqq or soxl (where you're paying interest for that leverage while waiting to recover). It just has slightly lesser total return than qqq (still better return than s&p).

2001 nasdaq was a different index, it is now essentially the same as s&p without the deadweight. In any scenario similar to 2008 the printer goes boom and if you're holding money under the pillow u are fucked. But why am I telling you this since u are in fact gully invested in qqq plus other less safe securities. Qqqi is actually a safer version of qqq.

ljl nigga, SPY is the one that moved towards QQQ cause the tech segment of SP500 became so much more dominate

if u want a safer version just do JEPQ and safer than that JEPI, u can look at this years trump tariff downturn from peak 2025 its a great indicator:

QQQI -20.5%

JEPQ -20.2%

JEPI -13.0%

So yea give tax shit QQQI seems better than JEPQ but JEPI is safest

I mentioned that in subsequent posts. Yes ultimately this becomes long term capital gains (96%) and 4% ordinary income. But if you buy qqqi just before retirement you defer capital gains until cost basis goes to 0. Also you get the same long term capital gains if you just sell after 1 or 2 years and rotate into qqq, i.e. when the market is down.

So I'm not adding to my position now, qqq is better for accumulation phase... but it also makes it obvious that I must retire in 7 years. Strc I will sell as soon as it gets back to near par, strc is obviously a ponzi.

Should I sell strc at 98 since I bought around 96 and also getting my 1% dividend this month. Afraid it can crash if bitcoin crashes. Also I found out that I will not get longterm cap gains on dividends unless I hold it entire year since they are not qualified dividends but "return of capital". In that case qqqi is better and provides higher dividend

My dividend is co sidereal "qualified" by schwab so technically whatever shares I hold will get 10% dividend at long term cap gains as long as I hold 60days. But I am looking for sept/Oct Market drop so I could actually buy qqq and spmo. So dumb I sold my Google stock when I could've made 50% profit, same with nvda and mu.

That's smart. 3.5k shares?? Goog is maxed out now. Qqqi has better total return than jepi or jepq even without taking into account taxes. But in tax advantaged I think qdvo is better tan qqqi.

Strc now pays 10% dividend. I sold 500k with 2% profit but plan to hold 500k and collect qualified divid3nd for now. However qqqi pays 14% divid3nd. So I will average into qqq, spmo because better overall return
