Not even the far right in Israel has called for this. I understand HReps are the JV team of the Legislative but this is absurd to come on TV and say. Gaza is pretty much defeated afaik. Israel has military control over the region. The only thing left for Netanyahu to do is figure out what he's actually going to be able to *do* with the territory

The longer it drags on the easier it is for the average person, jew and goy alike, to pick up the nuance and shades of grey involved that make the conflict not so clear cut in favor of either side. Ultimately this is probably the only way the region is really going to "evolve"; the Mossad cabal throwing enough of a tantrum for the American-European axis to wake from its biases about the region and try to organize something that actually works for both of these peoples

Hamas has prepared for this sort of media war and had much more thought put into their asymmetrical tactics and strategy than the Israeli side. The best and brightest of the Progressive media/academic/NGO world are by and large assisting Palestine in this matter and it ends up skewing the events of what's actually gone on to some degree, and many of Palestine's tactics in the media have the same handiwork as the leftist media's reprobate tactics in the US. Baudrillard wrote about phenomena relating to this sort of media/image war in "The Gulf War Did Not Happen" which I've linked a few times here and would recommend for people trying to get a handle on what some academics thought about the thing the DoD now calls "5G warfare"

There is a LOT of extremist rhetoric in the Arab camp as well, especially from aligned nations, but the general internet media "soft" crackdown in the US (which often, though not always, favors the Israeli side. at least where BIGTECH is concerned) has made it so that much of this is swept out of sight

There are plenty of other conflicts like this and most incidences of industrialized warfare tend to involve some aspects of genocide---personally, I consider what we did to the Iraqis and possibly the Afghanis to be a "genocide" of sorts, and while I don't condone it as it is I also recognize as an adult that this is just sort of the nature of unsublimated warfare, a very grotesque thing to begin with

There's no excuse for the nuclear comments even if this sort of speech has somehow filtered up from prole rants and jocular bar conversations to...not really "high", but middling office. Also as an aside the hatred that these two groups of peoples have for each other is baffling and exhausting to deal with; it drains and drags on day after day and the ostensible policing functions of the UN are nowhere to be seen

The US doesn't "need" to act on this btw. It's largesse if and when it does. The world needs to remember that; the "world police" role is riddled with catch-22s and nuisance claims against, and even on the right people are quite weary of it all. The wars between the Jews and the Arabs are ancient, and like with every great empire that's met a deep loss in Afghanistan and its own ancient tribal feuds, sometimes the issues are too deep-seated for a third party to definitively settle without causing more resentment and bad blood down the line

Listen to yourself lol. Have you considered that Israel has been plainly evil for not just for the last two years, but decades now and that this war has heightened the overall understanding of this conflict for the public? The reason the Palestinians have won the hearts and minds of the public is because of social media, which the traditional media and its Jewish masters have tried at every step to censor and minimize

2. It's been a mixed bag for both parties and accelerated the sort of media warfare thinking that will probably be the death of truth-in-reporting in its entirety down the line

3. Myopic view of history; you're welcome for the Geneva convention, limitations on munitions, nuclear test bans, rights for NGO medical organizations, UN oversight, the ICC, etc

4. It's a damned if you do damned if you don't type situation with US interventionism in any part of the world with Chinese/Russian/etc eyes on it. If it were in my power I'd call for a ceasefire within a week and, in part, hopefully matched by Jewish and gulf state billionaires alike, subsidize a different sort of reconstruction in the region to lead to something less hellish and violence-promoting

There is a lot of furor and vitriol in your replies but not much in the way of substantiated argument. Also some good deal of meta-irony involved in the hidden context here too which I appreciate but not enough to continue on with for much longer tonight
