That's the perfect layout because it lets you use every PCIe lane in the chipset. What makes it stand out is the placement of the PCIex1 slot directly ABOVE the GPU slot, so it will never be covered up by a GPU. The primary GPU also gets tons of space. Even if you add a second GPU that covers up the bottom slot, you still have the slot above the GPU, which is one more than any other z790 board will give you.

Also, while there aren't many USB 3.0 ports on the back, there are two USB 3.0 headers and a USB-C header on the board, so you can add five more ports right there. The top slot can be used for a second NIC if you want to use it as a server. You can populate all 4 NVME slots without losing any lanes or SATA ports too, and it has 8 SATA ports, so it would be a beast of a server when you think about it. It only has LED debug lights, which is shitty, but they work fine and it's only $150

Here's what it looks like with all the headers connected and the PCIex1 port populated with two SSDs. Pretty sure that slot runs off CPU lanes, because the traces are just as close to the CPU socket as the primary nvme socket (and even closer than the GPU).

He has an old AMD graphics card, so his idle power draw is high as FUCK. Look how shitty the idle power draw is their newest model. This is the nox-XT variant too. The 9070 XT has a 50% higher TDP.

Look where an Intel CPU idles at too:

His AMD CPU probably draws 60W at idle, and his GPU is probably drawing 60-70W.
