Like have a tiny little surface facade with a sunporch and 1000 sf shit box

Then downstairs expand out to a 15k sf submerged mega mansion with retractable "sky lights" protruding from the ground that drones can launch from

You could put a gymnasium, Olympic pool, huge movie theater down there.

Run electricity from solar panels all over the yard to make it look industrial up top

Surround the whole lot with a 20 foot tall barbwired chain link fence, and have a few rotties posted up to marshall the grounds

What am I missing?

I would park a caterpillar bulldozer out front. Maybe move huge piles of dirt back and forth for fun. Make it seem like it's perpetually about to break ground

They're a bitch to deal with in terms of moisture. Many of these desert areas don't have good soil

So you don't think having a dense, moist, heavy substance surrounding a building is a big deal?

I guess I'm confused because it's the desert. Where would the moisture come from?

Yeah seriously. The entire coastal seaboard has 4 seasons. Every McMansion from Bethesda to VA Beach has a massive concrete basement as the foundation

I'm just saying to build the whole thing underground and go deeper from the start

Minnesota is the land of 10,000 lakes but Mormons there build deep underground survival bunkers. I don't believe it's impossible in Arizona

Wait, why not just build it above ground? That way you have windows, and don’t have to go down a flight of stairs when you get home
