both the safest place to live on earth period and the safest place to live on earth where you could plausibly live and be employed sustainably

free from natural disaster risk

not at risk for major attacks / war / terrorism / etc.

protected from pandemic risks

is it australia or something

Cities in southern Australia have very few poisonous insects, animals or reptiles. They mostly live in the warm tropical parts of Australia.

The danger from drop-bears (ie carnivorous koalas) is overstated.

The statistics around drop-bear deaths are definitely untrustworthy: in fact so dubious they are probably being covered up by the gov so as to not damage tourism or the cuddly image of koalas.

and not many cities in the world you can reliably go out at 3 in the morning alone without fear of getting robbed/murdered/raped.

In terms of everyday safety, Seoul definitely is world class.

I wouldn't dare walk through Skid Row at night- but Seoul a single woman can go out alone without fear of getting raepd like St. Louis or Baltimore

Ethnicity[edit]

New Zealand's crime statistics are compounded by the over-representation of Māori. Though Maori make up only 12.5% of the general population aged 15 and over,[28] 42% of all criminal apprehensions involve a person identifying as Maori, as do 50% of those in prison. For Maori women, the picture is even more acute: they comprise around 60% of the female prison population.[29] A report by the Corrections Department says: "The figures lend themselves to extremist interpretations: at one end, some accuse the criminal justice system of being brutally racist, as either intentionally or unintentionally destructive to the interests and well-being of Māori as a people. At the other, there are those who dismiss the entire Māori race as constitutionally 'criminally inclined'."[29] The justice sector's 2014 Briefing to the Incoming Government named the over-representation of Māori as one of the sector's main challenges.[30]

Singapore.

Extremely low crime. No earthquakes. No hurricanes. Very unlikely to be involved in any war. Public health is good.

They all seem convinced that Malaysia will invade any day. Hence the mandatory bomb shelters in every house. Also, they got it pretty bad in WWII.

To be isolated from pandemic risks, you have to be extremely far off the grid given the modern system of travel and the complete unwillingness of first world countries to cut off people from disease ridden areas. Even someplace like Svalbard or other even more isolated island like Ellesmere has contact with the outside world with some regularity. And in those places you have polar bears and a non-negligible chance of dying from exposure, or just getting sick and not being able to get treatment.

I would go with somewhere in western Montana. Mountains make it easier to hide/defend and there is not much there that is deadly (maybe a bear of two) and you are still close enough to civilization when you need it.

Reykjavik.

Violent crime is almost unheard of.

Isolated and shall enough to make pandemic risk small.

I think there's a small chance you could get volcanoed, but I think with modern science you'd have enough warning to evacuate.
