I used to have a hell of a time getting worker bees to show up to mow my yard, so it's yet another thing I have to do myself. But that's okay, because I now have:

- Stihl FS 251 weed whacker

- Stihl FC 111 edger

- Stihl MS 251 Wood Boss chainsaw

- DeWalt FlexVolt 60V MAX leaf blower

- Toro TimeMaster 21220

seems fine i guess. i genuinely believe yardwork is a waste of time and any work you put into your yard should be focused on reducing future work.

I also genuinely believed that for the past several years. I've hired every permutation of lawn business until I settled on the ones my neighbors use when they're out of town. They were pretty decent, but it was the same shit. I have to open my gates for them when they come, so I like to have some idea of when they're coming. Half the time, if they came at all, it was hours after they said they'd come. I'd usually get 2-3 cuts/month for $240 which was ridiculous. It's less stress for me to spend literally 90 minutes/week on this.

its not the pushing we had a self-propelled gas powered mower when i was a kid and it scarred me for life. it was like 200lbs and just pulling it out was a pita. then eventually when i was older a corded electric one, but even that was oversized and you had to maneuver it over stone and run a cord. then i eventually moved onto an electric as an adult which is fine i guess. just dealing with those fucking things is a bitch unless you have a huge lawn. riding mowers are fun though.

IH/CC garden tractor collection with lots of attachments

MS290 stihl (pre emissions crap)

A bunch of Dewalt stuff, pole saw, hedge trimmer, double extension (this works don’t let them tell you that you can only use one), weed whacker 20v (terrible battery life whacking), leaf blower. Should upgrade to 60v.

Husqvarna gas weed whacker, not sure what model

Granfors bruk 36in axe (so I have like a dozen axes, lots of hatchets etc. and dozens of machetes)

Underrated is my ryobi sprayer for the round up.

Some Berger, Corona, and fiskars hand stuff, the fiskars axes are the most effective but the blades chip too easy. The splitting maul is insane.

Random big back wheel push mower with a 6.5hp Briggs no power, no bag, as it should be.

Of course, now I just pay to have it all done.

Good stuff, I cut my hard with a battery powered mower that craps out on my about 80% through the job. I must mow the 20% I missed first thing the next week.

Too busy fighting with my neighbor to do the edging or plant flowers.
