When AI-created evidence becomes indistinguishable - cops, lawyers, courts?

Presuming it is not too long until an AI created video showing a defendant or respondent in a different place, not committing a tort or crime, becomes impossible to distinguish from real video... or vice versa.
Police finding probable cause, courts determining causes of action, jurors deciding beyond a reasonable doubt, etc. - all of that becomes a bit more complicated
"Hey Grok make a Ring Doorbell video of me coming home at 10PM and craft it and timestamp exactly as if it had been recorded on October 1, 2025. Delete any meta-data, etc, that would permit anyone to distinguish this from this actual Oct 1 video I am uploading"

they will lock down the frontier models from being able to create this kind of stuff and they will also instruct the models to put "watermarks" in outputs that can be verified if you have a matching cryptographic key that the frontier labs will have
compute is expensive and videos take a lot of compute to create. legit rich people will have their own bespoke local architectures built without any of these guardrails. it will be a luxury item kind of like buying expensive lawyers or chefs or armed security guards

in the end, everyone got cars and cell phones
too profitable to resist distributing it to proles, even if rich people dont like this.
just takes one henry ford or someone to be like fuck it, if I find a way to sell this to proles Ill be king of the rich

counter point is that by now we 100% should be able to upload pics of our femael colleagues and get porn videos, and somehow we do not yet have this
if this occurs, an interesting twist would be a radical jerk-back from posting pics online. foids militantly policing that no pictures of them appear anywhere and litigating it. a kind of islamic move to full burkas, women going full-private-mode about protecting their image

"Hey Ring this video doesn't have any metadata, is it real?" Ring: "No."
Doesn't seem too hard in most cases. Even an iPhone video will have data from the carrier to establish if it is real or not.

idk im no techie. Imagine "meta data" is not much different than particular letters of the alphabet in a novel.
"Grok, identify the letters in question, and write the novel with the exact same letters in the exact same order as the original, such that there is no difference between them"
absent some programming prohibiting this, why would AI *not* be able to just produce identical (false) metadata? I dont imagine there's anything about "metadata" that is somehow magical.
It might be like picasso leaving a thumbprint on a painting. "Grok add a picasso thumbprint, just like this one."

Hint: both your car and your phone are tracking devices and most criminals are very stupid. Also you are filmed and photographed everywhere you go. Enjoy being cross-examined on both the sick porn you requested from AI and your extensive research into how to modify video metadata.
For cases of significance (ie attractive white women murders), state will pull all the 3P data and gape your fraud, disbar your lawyer.
In shitlaw everything will continue to be shitty and stuff like crimes against prostitutes and gang shootings will continue the current model where cops don’t even really investigate unless something forces them to.
