Imo the big tech companies don’t want to be involved in shitty businesses, they want to make like a 40+% bottom line, so they speedrun them off a cliff, if plan A doesn’t work they go right to plan B.
They tried doing things the Normal Way but Starfield was a complete joke and it all went downhill from there.
The thing they’re missing is that steam already exists. Steam only came around in 2003. They missed their window on this. They literally Engineered windows and DirectX. They could’ve just Engineered an app that sells you games, EASILY, 25 years ago.
