one of the more interesting sequences is around 42 minutes in part III, where the film crew joins a migrant worker couple as they return to their village in hardcore ass-backwards rural yunnan province for new years' and a wedding:

from what i can find, the road shown in the film was partly replaced by one of those new chinese mega-bridges that spans entire valleys, but it is still in use because the new route is still longer and not as direct. |
