the internet has created these bifurcated markets where the middle classes and above are shown shit like this constantly, but the poor both here and abroad can still access these things with just some basic ingenuity like going to temu or whatever.
i remember in the 90s there was a real stigma to buying chinese products and if we did need them, we'd go to downtown or one of the swapmeets in the city where you could get this stuff very cheaply. and we bought less of it. but now we all just go to amazon and pay out the ass for garbage, it's insane. furk gc so hard man
