You don't like the tone of his voice? He doesn't sing super high notes like Michael Jackson? He was a rapper in the beginning before he started singing?
None of these arguments apply to "he can't sing." He's literally one of the most famous singers in the entire world with tens of millions of records sold. Who is a 'better singer' to you? He sings just fine. All of his songs are Auto-Tuned to shit just like every other 'singer'. The recordings are perfectly in tune. It sounds like singing.
Why don't you just be honest with yourself and say, "I don't like it" instead of trying to make it an objective metric like, "he can't sing" which doesn't even make any sense. |

And it's 4 guys collaborating, writing the best stuff they can with the talent they have. How many bands just go for singles and are happy when a song gets big on the radio and then they're just done. And you buy the CD and most of the songs are trash and you can tell they put all their time into 1 track and not the rest. The Chili Peppers didn't do that. They wrote songs like they had no idea which ones would be huge and which ones wouldn't. The quality is high across the board.
