not crash in price, but depreciate in value like a vehicle, except over 30-40 years, until we throw them into a junkyard and build another

weve already seen it. the old houses are a liability the new houses are junk and building is expensive as fuck now. people like to pretend the value is all in the land but ljl if you ever actually need to build. the house is probably more expensive than the land for most normal lots now.

A quick check of the locL appraisal district website clearly shows the vast majority of SFHs in a subdivision the home is way more valuable than the tiny pink quarter acre lot

All of those terrible suburbs and exurbs built out in the sunbelt and American interior - I don’t think anyone has really discussed just how useless they are. The only reason they exist is because Scumbags wanted a Big Cheap House with a garage for a front door. There is no reason to care about these Walmart encampments in the middle of nowhere. All you can do is burn them down once they are past their expiration date.

Once you get to a certain age, say about late 20s and early 30s, they are very attractive.

When you are an 18 y/o, all you want to do is get out of your home and go live in a city where you can meet people and have fun. But over the next decade libs, nigs, crime, grime, public transport, etc wear you down.

One day you are a 29 y/o are visiting your folks in the boring suburb and you step into a Target. It's nice. It's cool inside. It smells nice. There is space to walk about as opposed to the shitty bodega you thought was the coolest thing in the world when you first moved to MFH. People are smiling. The parking was easy too. And you begin to realize that moving forward this is kinda what you want in life.

Suburbs and exurbs are going no where. People like living in them.

well this is pretty retarded since from century homes to 2000s shithoxes the prices continue to rise.

shitboxes become the shitbox of theseus where the poor saps replace everything as it fails. houses are not cars where proles will drive 1998 pilots until the wheels fall off. and those retard proles replace is with another shitcar or suped up 4x4 if theyre ascended scumbag. they don't replace it with a good, new car. what, someone living in a dilapidated shitbox is iust gonna tear it down and start from scratch? if they had the means for that they wouldn't be spending years in the shitbox to begin with!

it seems like home prices are actually fairly reasonable nowadays compared to how the stock market has performed. home prices have been going up like 5% a year while stocks are up 20% a year.

stocks allow you the ability to grant an interest free loan to bob iger's personal expense account. houses you just have to sort of live in and raise a family in so its not really apples to apples.
