Funny story. I have an ongoing relationship with a woman whom I began dating when we were in the 11th grade. While we haven't had carnal knowledge of each other in recent years there's still a simmering tension between us. For instance she has to do her hair for over an hour just to see me because she wants to maintain the image in my mind that she's still beautiful and perfect like she was when we were 16.
At any rate the reason I bring this up is that in the entire time I have known her spanning high school to college through our adult years we have never once in all that time ever had a single conversation about money, career, job, or what either of us does for money. I don't have a clue what her career is. I have never asked, and she has never asked me.
I think love is about the emotion and connection two people have for each other. The rest of it doesn't matter. |

Given that she is the same age as u and therefore has probably declined way below younger chicks u could pull on the open market, is there any element of sadness or pity to these interactions? |

It felt like a betrayal even though it wasn't cheating it still really sucked and I never talked to that guy again although he did send me a really cringey apology letter ten years after the fact.
She has declined sadly her face is looking rough. I don't think she feels sorry for herself. She told me recently that she thought of my dad's second marriage in his 40s as inspiration lol. That caught me off guard. I think she's relentlessly optimistic. She doesn't seem to care what I do. We don't have a future. |
